Following the terror attack of October 7, 2023, a joint decision was made by two kibbutzim with a shared history—Kibbutz Be’eri and Kibbutz Hatzerim—to immediately establish a temporary residential neighborhood for Be’eri’s community within Kibbutz Hatzerim.
The article reviews the newly emerged kibbutz model for times of emergency shaped by these circumstances, alongside the landscape planning principles that formed the foundation of the temporary neighborhood’s landscape plan, which was designed and led by Berabim Landscape Architecture studio.
